Laughably Female: The Short Narrative

I'm a woman in her prime. I'm a prime woman.

I’m a 29 30 year old Polish girl living in the Midwest, with nary an accent.  A lawyer by trade and a wannabe cook by night.   An enthusiastic leaf-cruncher and leaf-peeper who not-so-recently traded her hiking boots and prolific collection of wool sweaters and turtlenecks for copious amounts of suits and high, skinny heels.  The scarves, though?  They survived the transition.

An uncloseted nerd rarely willing to do things half-way, I'm in search of a Josh Lyman to my Donatella. Currently, betwixt hither and yon...in life, in love, and in finding a passion.  This mass of contradictions is laughably female.  Follow along with my small rants and other odd ends.
I enjoy: Tina Fey, the smell of books, The West Wing (gasp!), tulip-iris-peony mixed bouquets, rom-coms followed by Jason Statham action flicks, brunch, dirty jokes, yoga,  accents, trivia nights, supper club, whiskey, gin gimlets, jukeboxes, obscure cookbooks, kisses in the back of a late-night taxi, and a well-recounted story.
I dislike: overgrown frat boys, elitism; ignorance, decaffeinated anything, pinchy shoes, lugging laptops across the city, The Jersey Shore, video games, snakes, chronic snifflers, candy bars, leggings as pants, and high airline ticket prices.

I am: restless and wanderlusty, yet tied to a desk.  the older twin.  a judgmental whore (There, I said it.  I judge.  No.  Don't cringe, you know you do it, too!). a pragmatic treehugger, a curvy girl.  often mistaken for a 5-year old on the phone (Lily Tomlin voice). a commitmentphobe. a voracious reader. scattered on a good day. hopeful that when I grow up, I'll be just like C.J. Cregg.
